Paid plans are free on Shopify development stores. Prices are in US dollars, and Shopify handles billing, trials and plan changes. The plans page in the docs explains how each limit counts.

On Pay per upgrade, Molt prepares the draft and compares your pages at no charge. The $49 applies only when you put the upgrade live.
